All under one roof
Independently owned compound, five storied modern building, custom built 20000 sq.feet area. From couple investigation to complex surgeries, simple pregnancy tests to hi-risk delivery, all facilities for infertility and maternity treatment provided under one roof in our hospital. Antenatal screening, delivery and neonatal care are provided at SAMAD IVF. Well equipped operation theatre, delivery rooms, newborn nursery, modern laboratory are also part of our Hospital.
Overseas/ Outstation patients - Telemedicine
By the establishment of telemedicine unit, the advancement of Information and Communication technology will be utilised to assist the outstation patients. Face to face interaction between patient and doctor with real time voice and image, digital transfer (DICOM files) of patient's history and diagnostic reports (HL7standards) will help at pre-treatment and post treatment (follow up) stages.
- Law of the land
Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) guidelines 2005 is applicable to all ART clinics in India. There is no specific reproductive law in India at present, common law will be applicable for treatment.
- Payment to Health Authority
Payment to health authority of the country of patient if any, will be added to the fees (like HFEA Payment in UK).
- Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC)
Duly constituted IEC of SAMAD IVF will examine, discuss and sanction every procedure and treatment in the field of ART/IVF management.
- National registry for Assisted Reproduction in India (NARI)
Our Hospital is listed in the National registry along with hospital procedures and statitics.
- Quality certification
SAMAD IVF Hospital is the first ISO 9001-2000 certified IVF hospital in Kerala. The British Standards Institution’s UKAS Quality Management has awarded the certification. Periodic inspection and renewal of certification are done annually to keep up the quality standards.
Achievements
Among the hundreds of IVF/ICSI births, two post menopausal deliveries at 56 years and 62 years are worth mentioning and made headlines in the media. The birth by the 62 year old post menopausal woman is regarded as the third oldest women in the world to give birth to a child. In our home state of Kerala, we are credited with the birth of the first surrogate delivery.
- Associations
SAMAD IVF HOSPITAL, Trivandrum is one of the chain of hospitals in the SAMAD Group. The Group has two more infertility/maternity hospitals at Attingal and Kollam. We are members of national medical associations like FOGSI, ISAR, ISPAT, IMA, also members of international medical associations like ASRM (USA), ESHRE (Europe) and ASPIRE (Asia). We attend all major international conferences on infertility conducted by these medical bodies.
